December 19, 2013: 1900 Park Fare & Magic Kingdom

On Thursday, December 19, 2013 our day started off with character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. Upon entering the resort, we did some shopping followed by looking at the Christmas decorations including the gingerbread house that is a yearly tradition at that resort. 1900 Park Fare is a character breakfast that includes Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Alice in Wonderland. In addition, the Mad Hatter was also present this day.

The rest of our day was spent at the Magic Kingdom. Peter Pan character spot was our first stop of the day and Peter was fun as usual. He posed for us sticking out his tongue. Our first Fastpass+ of the day was at the Haunted Mansion. After that attraction we walked through Frontierland where Chip and Dale were dressed a sheriffs. We had our pictures taken with them and then continued our time in Frontierland by continuing our game of "Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom". Moving to Adventureland, we went to Tinker Bell's Magic Nook where we had a character spot with Tinker Bell and one of the other fairies. Pirates of the Carribean was our next stop which only had a five minute wait. Our next stop was the character spot for Jesse from the Toy Story series of movies near Splash Mountain.

Meeting magician Mickey Mouse was our second Fastpass+ experience of the day. This was the first time we had the opportunity to meet the talking Mickey Mouse. The final Fastpass+ experience was Peter Pan's Flight which has been recently refurbished.

Meeting Rapunzel and Snow White at the Princess Fairytale Hall was our next stop. We had an over 40 minute wait time to meet the princesses so we took a break by sitting in the Columbia Harbor House for a bit before doing some shopping in the Ye Old Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. As we were finishing up we saw that Tiana was scheduled to be out soon and Prince Naveen was to be with her so we waited and met these characters.

Our final stop of the day was over to Tomorrowland where we went on the Carousel of Progress which is a must do for us on each trip. Magic Kingdom was closing at 7 PM since there was a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We therefore went back to our room and finished packing before having dinner. As we got off of the monorail in the Contemporary, Chip and Dale were by the gingerbread house dressed as Toy Soldiers. We stopped by for a photo opportunity.
